Breathing and Thinking

File this under TMI if you must, but I was pleased to start my period about an hour ago. Why was I pleased? No pregnancy, of course! Just kidding…that means my fat tummy is partly due to the fact that I’m bloated! Yea!

Okay…so in other news….I’m still sick.  Didn’t have much of a voice all day. The students were so sweet about it. All day long I listened to their sweet words: “I can’t hear you!” “What’s wrong with your voice?” “Why are you talking like that?” etc.

I left work early because Little Man had a PPT scheduled…Permanency Plan Team (or something like that). Anyway, it was the smallest one I’ve ever been to. It was me, the case worker, the case worker’s supervisor, and the guy leading the meeting. CASA was on the phone. It lasted all of five minutes, but I kept them there longer with questions. The verdict…they’re changing the plan to termination/foster parent adoption. They have a hearing next week, and they will attempt to schedule the termination hearing then. The supervisor said depending on the court docket, it could be in as little as two months. Then, of course, there is the 90 day waiting period. And then, adoption!

So, in six months, I could be the official mommy to my three babies!

In work news, the department head hating me got even more evident today. And all over alliteration! I sent the department an e-mail with a link to a site I found that generates alliterative insults. I plugged in her name-and the names of three others in our department-and sent it out to the dept. It was all in good fun, and I really thought that my dept. might like to use the site in their classes. I plan to show my kids the site when we study Romeo and Juliet. Well, she sent back an alliterative response–an extremely harsh response. I’m hoping she was joking, but I don’t think so. Oh well.

Okay…my throat is killing me. My abdomen is throbbing. And the baby just woke up.
