Since It May Actually Happen,
September 18, 2008
I guess I need to seriously figure out what to call Little Man since my family has pretty much threatened to disown me if I name him Asher Mordicai (I bet there’s someone out there who thinks that’s a nice name besides me. Oh well.), I refuse to call him by the name on his birth certificate, and he can’t go by Little Man or Baby for the rest of his life.
I’ve already mentioned Jackson Kale. But the more I look at him, the more he changes and grows, I start to think he doesn’t look like a Jackson anymore.
Tonight, I thought about Thomas. How cute is that! But I would hate it if people called him Tom or Tommy. I don’t like those.
I love the names Jeffery and Zachary.
I really like harsh K sounds.
How about Konner?
A few others:
Lucas
Drake
Rylan
Kaden
Kamren
Oliver
Some of you have never seen him, so it’s hard to know what “fits” him. Of course, I’m lucky in that I’ve known him for six months. Most people who name a baby have to do so before they ever even see it. Those poor kids (like me; thanks a lot, Mom!) are stuck with names that don’t fit them for the rest of their lives (or until they pay to change it, and what a pain in the rear that would be!) Anyway, imagine a light brown baby with bright, shining brown eyes. He has dimples in his cheeks and a cleft in his chin. His hair is curly on top and gets fuzzy if I don’t keep conditioning cream in it. He has little straight hairs beneath the curls. He is always smiling and has an adorable laugh. His head is big for his body (his body is catching up though!), but I think he’s the cutest baby I’ve ever seen. (L is the most beautiful - in case you were wondering.)
I found, according to http://www.babypoo.com.au/readarticle.php?id=21&viewing=Unique-Baby-Boy-Names the list of the top 100 baby boy names according to the NSW (I don’t know what that stands for), Registry of Deaths and births, several ofmy choices are on the list. I think i should stay away from those. I don’t want him to be one of four kids in class with the same name. Thomas is number 5, Oliver is 12, Lucas, 18, Jackson, 27, Zachary, 45, Connor, 58. What’s weird is that Jeffrey isn’t on there, but names like Jett, Lachlan, Angus, Brodie, Darcy, Flynn, and Jai are. Interesting; huh?
Any thoughts?
P.S. My mother just called me a bloggert. Yes, a bloggert. And then told me I had better not write that in my blog! Ha Ha!
